Webinar: Utilizing EMI Technology to Optimize Run Times and Achieve Superior Performance

In a webinar held in February 2024, Anne Marie Weaver, General Manager of Engineering and Manufacturing at LPS, along with LJ Guillotte, President/COO, and Enio Oliveros, EMI Manager, discuss EMI technology and demonstrate how utilizing it properly can lead to sustainable and cost-effective solutions for improved run times.

The adoption of the LV-EMI System™ represents a significant advancement in the maintenance and operation of oilfield equipment. By enabling more accurate and timely inspections, operators can significantly reduce the incidence of rod failures, optimize rod designs based on detailed scans, and realize substantial cost savings. This technology not only enhances operational efficiency but also contributes to the sustainability of oilfield operations by extending the life of critical infrastructure.

Two compelling case studies were presented:

• The first detailed how scanning with the LV-EMI System™ led to identifying severe pitting and wear in a rod string after a short operational period, illustrating the importance of timely inspections.
• The second case showed how EMI scans informed a strategic alteration in rod design for an operator, significantly extending the operational lifespan of the rod string from 70 days to over 630 days.
